Remembrance Day

Today is Remembrance Day. Remembrance Day is on the 11th of November each year. On Remembrance Day we remember the people who have died in wars, especially World War 1. You see the poppies at the Australian War Memorial or any memorial and on people's shirts.

The red of the poppies reminds us of the people who have died. Today we had a minute silence at 11 o'clock because at the 11 hour, on the 11 day, of the 11 month back in 1918, World War 1 ended. We pray for peace.
